Bio: Discovering what has come to be known amongst his friends and family as an unquenchable passion for music at age 14 playing the piano, "Mr Penders" has since been devoutly practicing his art and making it perfect. He began learning guitar a month later, and finally discovered where the real passion was at 16, when he bought his first bass guitar (and a Guns N' Roses tab book!). Ever since that day, he's never looked back.
A wide range of influences, from John Myung to Matt Freeman, have had a considerable impact on his playing. Never sticking to one genre at any one time, Penders now has a strong set of techniques to bring to Splintered Soul's powerful and grand sound, expressing what he believes to be the true potential of the Bass Guitar and the true power that music holds as a form of human expression.
